Also. As you mentioned the oil cooking in the turbo creating the hard carbon formations is more likely to happen with poor quality oil. Turbos require oil with the highest tolerances. I myself got fed up with the whole coolant issue and have now switched to waterless coolant by Evans Cooling. This prevents any kind of corrosion and you don't have to worry about possible steam pockets in the water ways because it has a much higher boiling point.
